Proud to be Scottish, but I hope the rest of them see sense and stay in Britain. Scotland would be much the poorer for being a completely separate country, and I don't mean in an economic sense.

I'd like one of the big ones to call next. Then I can go to bed.

Mind you, great benefit of being an expat that we can watch this stuff at a civilized hour. It's 3.48 am in England (and Scotland )

Time zones are a matter of international treaty, and countries can choose what they want to do. It's not as if Britain has some sort of copyright on GMT that can be used to prevent others from using it.

A few years ago, Samoa made a drastic switch, moving from the world's last time zone to being part of the world's first. As a result, they lost an entire day back in 2011: Samoa time travellers to leap a day into the future | World news | The Guardian

It's a transient effect though. Bookies won't take a bet on no. The odds at the bookies have been overwhelming in favour of No all week.

The level of engagement is great though - hopefully a wake up for all the political parties. Imagine this level of turnout at a general election.

Should be a crime not to vote.
