Default Road to Riches

Sad, I know, but is anybody else in Texas playing the Road to Riches game at United Supermarkets?

We're one sticker away from a couple of prizes, including the MacBook, and just got a free extra large chimichangas.

Is that the same as being played in the A&P's on the east coast? Think the main prize is a Mustang?

Possibly. The big, big, prize is $1m (we've got 3/7 stickers). Two second prizes of "a vintage car" but picture is a Mustang (we've got 4/7).

Wow, I'm surprised nobody else is playing this. It's ideal for unemployed immigrant layabouts.

Today we won a free loaf of bread and a free pack of gum. Plus 10 more bonus tickets. Still one ticket away from the macbook, now also one ticket shy of a Dallas shopping spree, a San Antonio family getaway, an 8GB iPod Nano, a $50 gift card and cash in the amounts of $2, $5 and $10.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it 'typical' that you are waiting on just 'one more' ticket, for the bigger prizes?

It makes sense when you think about it. There's only going to be one winner of the million dollar, so they'll print loads of most of the tickets, but only one of one of them. For a prixe with 20 winners, there'll only be 20 of one particular ticket and so on.

It's all good fun, though.
