Got a bit chilly last night, -10 when I got up but no wind and blue skies makes a big difference.
Phone seemed to say it was -16 last night, not so sure on that.

Apparently -9 right now, certainly doesn't feel that cold. Will be heading up to Steamboat on Friday afternoon to snowboard for the weekend so I'll see how crap the roads are then. Haven't been that way for a long while.

Bit of a drive and have not been up that way for a while but where I first skiied.

Probably has expanded a lot.

I know here the roads are clear, what still is frustrating is all the Code 15's CDOT issue, mildest winter I have known.

If you come back down I70 Sunday afternoon, good luck.

I am going the other way, Boulder this weekend.

Yeah it's the same down here in Houston, exits all over the place, crappy paint, no lighting or cat's eyes. Then there's the myriad of toll roads using different payment methods...

I drove Portland to Boston in the rain the other night, and there was a truly wonderful bit of I95 in MA where they'd put cat's eyes in. I'm sure I'd never seen them before in the US.

The rest of the journey was terrifying in the rain. Couldn't see the lines at all...

You must have been asleep at the wheel in NC then, because cats eyes are all over the place here - old highways, new highways, interstates built 15+ years ago, and ones resurfaced last year. It may be harder to find a highway without cats eyes than with them.

Crazy. Here I am preparing the pool for my first belly flop of the year.

I did my first bellyflop last Sunday as it goes! Although it was an indoor pool...

I made it up to Steamboat about an hour ago. Drive wasn't too bad. Traffic was pretty appalling and I'm fairly certain some hippies in a Prius had been smoking some Colorado lettuce as they literally rode in the middle of both lanes the entire way...
