Would love to see them down here in GA - although the Blue Angels would give them a run for their money.

Anyone know what the Red Arrows schedule is in North America, if anything? I read they may be in Huntington Beach CA in October 2019. We love the Red Arrows!! Saw them in Jersey, channel islands many years ago. Everybody was looking out to sea for them. They came in silently from behind and roared overhead. Brilliant display.

Further updates possible, but so far:https://www.military-airshows.co.uk/...hedule2019.htm

cool, I'm going to be able to see them from my balcony

They seem to be pretty much unheard of over here, so it will be good to see them come over and show the Yanks what a proper display team looks like. Just wish they were flying a little closer to me.

Blue Angels, Thunderbirds, Snowbirds and the Red Arrows.

Some other display teams I remember from growing up. The Red Devils parachute team. And the White Helmets motorcycle team.
Would love one of their old bikes.

Saw the Blue Angels for the first time last year, and felt slightly disappointed. The Thunderbirds are good. The most impressive single plane I have seen at the local airshow is the F-22 Raptor fighter jet. The Raptor deserves the much-overused term, Awesome.

When I first starting working MANY years ago I was in an office overlooking Brighton seafront. The Red Arrows did an annual display and they literally came straight towards me low over the sea then went up over the town. It was scary and amazingly impressive. They later stopped those displays as being too dangerous. I believe that decision was linked to an incident in May 1980 when a Hawk hit a yacht mast (that's how low they went!). The pilot, Sqn Ldr Steve Johnson, ejected safely.

Being nosy, I pulled over to see what was going on. It was the maiden flight of the F-22 Raptor. Two T-38 chase planes took off and circled round. The flew either side of the Raptor as it roared down the runway and took off, seemingly straight up. Quite the sight. Honest to God this happened, this sheriff's deputy turns his head, spits some dip, and says, nodding, "Yep, that's the sound of freedom".
We did an airshow one time where they brought in a Raptor. We were camped on the Ramp and made a midnight excursion to go and see the plane. The plane was cordoned off and two Air Force guards with M4s were guarding the plane.
The rear cones were covered with a special cover. We got pictures right up against the rope. Next morning, we watched it spool up. It was rather impressive.

The Oregon airshow is normally in my backyard. Unfortunately runway repaving means the red arrows will be 40 minutes away.
