Yep, I too had a private plate in the UK..... Cost the friggin earth. So how much would you expect tp pay for a PP in the US?

Maine it was $20 extra each year, so $40...down in MA, it's about $100 every November on top of the regular 2 year $40 registration, or there abouts, I never bothered looking to deeply as it wasn't a cheap laugh like it was up in ME.

A few of years ago, in Maryland I saw " BOLLUX" with a little Union Jack in the back window...laughed my "arse" off, honked him and gave him a thumbs up, while shaking my dangly dice from the mirror.(remember them?)

It's weird you'd pay for so long up front though, but I don't know how they do it in Texas, don't think you have the sticker on the plate, goes on the window or something weird out there.
