We're starting to sound like a bunch of Gollums now, going on about hobbitses and the like.
Don't ask me, I'm too much of a pikey to shop there.

You should check it out. Bananas are 19 cents each at most of them. Some stuff I won't buy there because of high prices, but certain items (many frozen veg, nuts, some fresh fruits) are less expensive than at your typical large supermarket chains.
TJ also has British food items now & again.....

It'll be a cold day in a fictional region of damnation before I drive 17 miles for groceries

Re: Pluralization Of Brand Names
I was in the local Trader Joe's supermarket as that snowstorm of a couple of days ago approached. The bananas were disappearing before my eyes. I had to hustle my trolley over to grab a bunch fast. The milk cabinet was emptying too....
This is why I try to constantly buy ahead so I have full backup supplies on hand year round. I buy bananas well ahead (green) & always have a couple of UHT cartons of milk in the cupboard so I don't have to race to the store before the panic-buyers strip the shelves.

There was a headline on one of the sites last week or so ago, something about yoga pants being banned because they were too immodest. I was too distressed to even click the link....
