Not a fan of BOAC. Now if they painted one in Landor.... that's still my favorite and 'cleanest' BA livery.

This is pretty cool. As BA celebrates it’s 100th year, it’s repainted one of its 747’s in old BOAC colors. Arrives freshly painted into LHR tomorrow morning. Not sure what routes it’ll be flying though.

They have hinted on Facebook that it will fly to New York first. I think it's due to leave Dublin around 0825 and arrive at Heathrow 0955.

This. A 747 in the Landor livery is about as classic as it gets.

I don’t think I can post videos here like I can photos. It done a nice slow pass just above the runway then gave it a bit of welly as it climbed back out over the bay. Very impressive. Funnily enough, I just watching a YouTube video where James May went up in one last night.

Which reminds me, last December I took Little Miss P back to the UK, through LHR. We landed, hurried through immigration, picked up our rental car, and headed down the M4 and an early stop for food after some truly terrible airline food. We stopped at the Reading services and as we walked across the car park I heard an unmistakable crackle of a Merlin engine and looked up to see Hurricane wheeling a loop in the sky!

I am pretty loyal to certain airlines Delta being one, I really like their Comfort plus section. While it has a slight premium the extra leg room is so worth it.

First row of coach on the A319 on Delta has more leg room them any row of first class.

Flying Air Canada next week, 737 Max not sure which version. Also first time flying AC.

Sad news. Atlas Air Flight 3591 a Boeing 767 operating for Amazon crashed today in Texas. 3 onboard presumed dead.

Pretty terrifying final moments on that flight. RIP to all onboard.

Isn't it always. The idea of knowing that you're going to die just a few minutes, or seconds just terrifies me! Germanwings 9525 was a nightmare scenario as the plane lost altitude over the mountains.

RIP to all onboard.
Seconded.

That's nothing compared to Alaska 261.

To suffer like that and then die in an accident all for some grease on a jackscrew,

RIP to all onboard.
Completely agree.
