United will have a special Starwars theme livery out in the fall on a single 737-800.

Qantas flight 7 diverted to Phoenix today, poor weather at DFW apparently.

I think we're at the other end of a storm system that stretches all the way to northern Texas.

Photo from twitter of the diverted A380 today. Phoenix doesn't have an A380 capable gate. It's back in the air now on it's way to DFW.

Had to put photo in another reply as when I updated this one, the photo no longer appeared.

A couple of things United did to honor the jump seat pilot that was on the Atlas Air flight that crashed back in February, shortly before that crash he had received a start date with United.

A nice summary/ update on MH370. There isn't much new to report, but this is a pretty nice, and not too long video published a couple of weeks ago.

One key thing I got out of the video, that I had not previously appreciated, is that the oft-shown curved line in the search ares in the southern India Ocean, is not of the probability of the flight path, but the end of a fan-shaped area of paths that the aircraft likely took.

Indeed. It's simply the mathematical calculation of the planes maximum fuel range from its last known position. In reality, it could have crashed anywhere in a circle from it's LKP.

I found this video about Berlin's new airport to be interesting, and also more than a little amusing.
