Bob - count to 10, slowly - use it to moderate breathing & heart rate, and then...

LET IT ALL OUT!!!

I'm sure it will relieve pent up pressure.

Besides. I need a good chuckle!!

People who poke along the 7 or so miles on the country road (Speed limit 55) I have to drive every day and then proceed to breeze through town OVER the speed limit

That happens without fail, doesn't it? The amount of people who sit at 40 in a 55 zone boggles my mind when I see the amount of people who ride my bumper in school zones when I do the speed limit

It's goofy, they blow through doing 45 when the speed limit is 35 because it IS a school zone.

Twits. :frown:

That pisses me off too. It's so inconsistent here as well - on the interstates where the state troopers usually set up every 250 yards with their speed cameras, they'll fly along at 80 but on the back roads where you can get away with 5-10 over since it's unincorporated and the county sheriffs are usually never out, they're pottering along 10-15 UNDER

Then in towns everyone flies along at warp 10 even on roads (in my town and vicinity anyway) that are notorious for the flith stopping speeders.

Mental ...

Drivers in a 45 limit who indicate to turn right from a busy "A" road into a quiet "B" road then unexpectedly stop before making the turn so that a pedestrian can step off the curb to cross at a non-designated crossing point. Causes a domino effect of emergency braking back up the A road, often with a fender bender 4 or 5 cars back, and the tw@t at the front then drives off with a merry wave to the pedestrian totally oblivious to the chaos they have caused behind them...

I also really love how if folks bother to clear out the snow from the pavement by their house, that they then do their drive way and then create a barrier to the pavement that is impossible to walk through....awesome stuff when lugging a kid in a pushchair.

Love how the towns around here just don't even bother to clear footpaths or park areas of any snow what so ever, so there's even less to do in winter as there's now no walking paths around.

Just to add to this one and the not getting park area or side paths cleared...

The library has the front/back doors cleared, but not the side paths to the benches, where the bins are. You can't dump nappies in the bins in the library and now you can't get to the bins outside....this goes to all the bins in town actually...means lugging a stinking nappy home.

Also on pathways.....utility poles and fire hydrants being on the edge of pavements. In the summer, no problem, you can get around them. In winter, the little bob cat pavement plough can't get around it, so after a half mile of ploughing the pavement, it leaves a bank that's more than waist height.

They also don't bother to clear the snow banks at the zebra crossings, so you can't use those either.

It means after you've walked a half mile down the pavement, you've got to walk a half mile all the way back to the road junction, so you can get onto the road to walk all the way back.

As much fun as being humped in the ear by a wilder-beast.

Peeve - the fact that on at least one occasion this week cops shot and seriously wounded a man who was threatening to harm himself...

Whereas we had a guy on one of our main tourist streets Sat afternoon, waving a pretty good sized hunting knife around threatening to kill himself. Surrounded by police, he proceeded to cut his forearm just down from his elbow, so he was bleeding pretty well. One of the policeman said I'll give you this cigarette if you give me the knife. The guy was like okay, fine and the exchange took place.

Better than that, there was a report this morning that last night a cop shot and killed a man holding a box cutter to his own neck, though in fairness he did lunge at the cops when they tried to stop him hurting himself, andhe appeared immune to the effects of a tazer the cop fired.
