It is very very unlikely that you will make a recovery from Pancreatic Cancer, it is one of the worst....:(

My father died when he was 32 of pancreatic cancer. It is usually fairly quick from diagnosis to death. Once diagnosed little can be done.

This doesn't apply to you MOK....I hate all this speculation about someone who is looking death in the face. Dying from cancer is a dreadful way to die...please let's have a little respect.

thank you cos I was feeling the same thing but morbidily interested? I couldn't think of a way these rumours had strung up expect for the scientology thing after John Travolta's son which was denighed for days! I lost both of my Parents by 33 so I do understand the amazing mess it makes of your life, and I miss them daily. my brother was only 29! and I have seen little children without parents, my worst was a 3 and 7 year old who lost both parents in 3 weeks!
I have 4 year old twins who ask? where are your mummy and daddy? and I don't know how to answer, so I say they are in heaven even though I am not very religious!

I was 5 weeks old when my father died...and yes his death does affect my 24 yr old daughter. It brings mortality that little bit closer.

It must've been awful to have lost your Dad at such an early age and to such an indescriminate disease, sometimes life is very unfair.

I lost 2 work colleagues to pancreatic cancer about 10 years back, both of them men in their 50s and both died within a relatively short period of time from the initial dignosis. Back then it was a certain death sentence and it seemed that little could be done. It's wonderful to see that Patrick Swayze has managed to fight of this disease for so long, I'm full of admiration for the way he's carried on with his life. I wish him all the best .......and for a miracle.

Thank you...but because I was so young I was spared the grief of losing a parent and I am grateful for that. I think there has been very little progress against pancreatic cancer since my father died. I too have lost several people close to me through cancer...thus my signature.

Heather is one of my names. The night before I was born mum went to visit dad in hospital...they were convinced they were having a boy. During the hospital visit mum asked 'what if it's a girl?' He thought for a while...just before my father was taken into hospital he laid the foundations for a greenhouse and planted herbs around it...heathers. My first name also has connections to the greenhouse that was never finshed.
