I have a bottle of Vicodin that the Doctor gave me over a year ago and it still has 24 pills left originally 30 its good stuff.

I have a bottle of Vicodin that was prescribed after a recent surgery...I didn't need to take any. I have a refill too. I also have Percocet. Fortunately I have never needed anything stronger than OTC meds.

Yep - Walmart sell their 'Equate' Brand under the simple names 'Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen' much cheaper than buying Tylenol and Advil.

I have a couple of diff strengths, a couple of people commented on how strong they are, how people get high/addicted to them... I am missing something because other than making me a little sleepy they have no effect on me.

Are they stronger than Hydrocodone - hubby got them after his bike accident last year (and yes they are still hanging around the medicine cupboard) but they made him really sleepy and woozy - he didn't like the feeling at all.

Edit: Never mind google tells me Vicodin is a trademark name for Hydrocodone. The tablets that made him woozy were 7.5-500 strength but after his operation he got 10-325 strength which helped with pain but didn't give him the same sick feeling.

I thought Acetaminophen makes your liver fall out?

I'm an ibuprofen gal, had a hard time finding that in Greece. When people kept trying to give me paracetemol I thought they were trying to kill me off.

I think they are both bad for your liver.

But you have to abuse them to make you high by smoking or injecting them.

If you ever had a shot of Valium, the results are totally different than taking the tablets and will give you a high that is much better than alcohol.

Ritalin also doesn't give much of a high unless it is smoked or injected.

I doubt that you would get very high if you took cocaine orally.

Vicodin is the trademark for paracetamol and hydrocodone.

Ibuprofen has a black box warning for potential fatal heart problems and stomach/intestinal bleeds.

So I'm just going to have to suffer.
I try to not take much of either but I'll be more careful yet.

Every drug has side effects. If the side effects could be serious to more than a few people, it would be pulled from the market and made prescription only.

The most commonly reported side effects of ibuprofen include abdominal pain, heartburn, nausea, and dizziness. Other side effects include such things as stomach cramps, indigestion, and diarrhea. There are many possible side effects and most are minor; however, some side effects of the drug can involve serious health problems, such as kidney problems, life-threatening bleeding, a heart attack, or stroke.
