Default Palin, a truly best side of this election!

I heard some argue that its her who made the result.

How dare they!

Palin is not a loser and not a handicap. She is the future of the Republican Party.

Well, she solidified my vote for Obama as well as that of my parents who always vote Republican. If she's the future of the Republican party, the Republican party is even sadder than I'd thought.

However given that the Republican caucus is meeting soon, and Palin is invited, and McCain is not, I fear you're right. Their loss. John McCain is a good man who was sh*t on by his party.

That's not how she's been viewed in the British press - she's been laughed at continually over here, whereas John McCain commanded respect.

How on earth they even considered potentially putting her as second-in-command of the most powerful nation on earth when she's so inexperienced and has never even been abroad is beyond me! Not sure it would have done much for international relations!!

so thats a future where they want to stay OUT of power then? Most people i heard from didnt vote McCain because of her having a good chance of seeing him out and they didnt want that under any circumstances.

She did do he best. But unfortunately not everyone is meant for such a thing and she wasn't, isn't and may never be. Contrary to what you think, she really was the reason McCain lost. McCain is a moderate and could have picked up a lot of the undecided moderate vote. By picking Palin who is anything but moderate, he alienated a huge chunk of the undecided as well as a large number of moderate republicans who would have voted republican if he had picked somebody with the same values she has but had more experience and leadership potential. She isn't a loser, but she was a handicap.

It's coming out that she thought Africa was country and not a continent and didn't know which countries were in NAFTA. Let's see, North America, North America....? Nope - drew a blank. I'll find 'em out and get right back toooo ya!

Umm, same pearl of wisdom for W.... except he had been only to Mexico prior to office.

Don't be surprised for the ''tell all''s anticipated to come from the campaign aides and advisors about all the behind the scenes stuff. Supposedly Palin wanted to perform a speech at McCain's conceding speech and was flat out refused.

There are a lot of scories coming out now about how she spent 10's of thousands of dollars on clothing for herself, husband and kids, the ignorance, the infighting within the camp....lots and lots of mudslinging a pointing the finger.

I think this is going to be a fascinating story. Seems pretty clear that Palin and McCain's campaign teams were pretty much at war for the last weeks of the campaign.

Palin will be back. She's extremely ambitious and is just the kind of empty vessel (aka Bush in 2000) that the social conservatives can ride.

What I find sad is that she will be recorded in the history books as the first female running as a vice-presidential candidate. Sure, she is an attractive woman and that is the one and only redeeming feature about her. Poor John McCain being saddled with her, talk about being handicapped in a race!
