Same here - though I admit I feel somewhat uncomfortable. We have 'proper' wills in the UK but only 'homemade' ones in the US. Just never got around to consulting a lawyer here.

Should really get that done... but I'm the world's biggest procrastinator when it comes to wills and taxes.

Taxes...

That would be Holland then, in my case *S*
I'm just visiting with all y'all Britons (how's my Southern coming?)

I am VERY surprised to hear about having wills in each country.
Even though now that I think about it for a minute, it does make sense!

Who keeps the will over there, then? I mean...
Once I write it here, then what? Who to send it to, to make it legal?

Boy, I knew this was going to be complicated *S*
Questions, questions, questions...

I wouldn't know about holland...but I've got mine kept in my bank in blighty, £10 a year to keep bits and pieces in the branch safe, in event of me carping it, they know who to give it to, and I've told the missus and my mother that that's where it is kept...exec is a law firm, just in case the family solicitor bloke carps it or retires.

This was very popular in the middle ages. Indeed, that's how the church came into so much of its money! Personally, I wouldn't trust anyone associated with the church to carry out the duties of an executor.
