OT: Happy Thanksgiving Tomorrow

Re: OT: Happy Thanksgiving Tomorrow
Our turkey needs just about 20 more minutes to roast, then it's time to pop the stuffing in (I apologize to all of you purists -- I never put the stuffing in the turkey!) and the sweet potato casserole and bread rolls... We haven't eaten ALL DAY so we're really looking forward to this feast!!
Aawwww... I do believe there are some tears welling up here! So Ian, just wondering what you're going to be called now? Grandpa? Granddad? Pop-pop? etc etc... It's not every day that you get to pick a new name for yourself!
(My dad told my brother and me when we were teenagers that our future spouses and children could call him "El Jefe." Didn't happen, LOL)

Even though I come across as hard-nosed and antagonistic (well, I guess that's me to a T, really!), in the past 10 years or so I've gained a new appreciation for "family" and the concept of family - something lacking from my own life for many years - as those who have read my "Dad" blogs know. You guys are like an extended family - and I am thankful for that also!

Re: OT: Happy Thanksgiving Tomorrow
Even though I do not participate on the board like I used to, I too want to wish you all a happy Thanksgiving. This is my first Thanksgiving as a newly married man and I am grateful for my lovely wife and wonderful life. I’m down at the office doing a little work and she’s home taking care of the Turkey. We did most of our prep work and house cleaning yesterday, and we have a few friends coming over for a nice dinner in a couple of hours. So I’d better rap this up and get on home. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Turkey was great, still struggling with the concept of "biscuits" which always makes my in-laws laugh!
been helping put the lights up outside, really feels like christmas is coming now!
Hope everyone had a great day x

Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
Celebrated Thanksgiving with a few friends. I made my turkey in an oriental marinade which turned out great. Garlic potatoes as stuffing.
Now it will be turkey turkey turkey all week long. I probably smell like one too.
Thinking of going vegan till Christmas.
Cheers
