Grinchy,

Is that for all those separatedn from their loved ones ATM? Or because Valentine's is
for everyone here in the US, not a day set aside just for lovers? UK hubby had a hard
time getting use to buying Valentine's Day cards for any and every one..and signing
them..LOL! ;o)

It's because his heart is two sizes too small.

Andy.

In February all our "open" waters freeze over and the Canada Geese are long gone in
Minnesota. It is also against the law to molest migratory birds or take them home for
*immoral* purposes. People in Minnesota are not particularly averse to being close to
goose-down, especially those soft feathers in those tender spots - wink, wink, nudge,
nudge , know-where-I-mean, etc.... When the birds are gone, folks are a bit sad and
reconciled to be "nice" to their fellows. Therefore, when occasionally one gets pissed
off, one ought to make allowances, especially when goose-down is not close to one's skin.
And besides, there is no need to be in a special season to use the phrase...."Bah Humbug
!" To Grinch, I say this: Drink that beer in good cheer and utter disdain for the chicken
hearted who wouldn't dare overstay a VW and go on to AoS !

You're wrong. The Canadian geese come to Florida, not Minnesota. Then they sh#@ all over
everything. Can you tell how pleased we are to have those dirty, stinking, honking piles
of crap in our yards here?

Down is the stuff you pull off the bird. Done is the judgement you make when the bird w/o
such down is roasted on fire. When "done" it is also the time to crack one open. Have gone
a full circle, haven't we ? BTW, how is the missus ? Done yet ?

Well, although I am a wee bit late (okay WAY late, but still....) and still catching up,
my reply would have been - AMEN TO THAT! Especially seeing how I spent my first
Valentine's Day with my hubby in the Royal Inverclyde Trust

Oh well. I got to come home and the heart still beats (although not properly), I guess
that is what counts!
