Re: The Olympics Thread
Well, that super g coverage I just watched just about sums up the shit coverage over here! First, the coverage was split with a lovey dovey interview with Body Miller and his new wife (of course making sure to mention his brother who died earlier). Then they had his wife miked up to provide little soundbites as each skier crossed the line just outside millers time. At the end of the event, with miller in bronze, the interviewer then fires a load of questions at the poor guy about his brother till he breaks down! Absolutely disgusting!!!! If there are any NBC execs reading this, try watching the BBC coverage to see how it should be done!!!!!

2 ways. If I'm watching live, I use FilmOn, although I hesitate to recommend this service as I used to. About 3 weeks ago, I started having to use a VPN to get UK channels. Never had to for the 10 months previous. About the same time the coverage will randomly crash with a message saying wifi has been lost on my ipad. Then about 30 seconds later, it will reset and I can reload the channel (has been especially annoying during the 6 nations). Second option, again using a VPN is to watch the catch up shows on the iPlayer

I think we need some sort of charity event to buy the female figure skaters bigger pants. There's far too much gusset on show.

I love how the news in the US always does creative accounting: http://www.nbcolympics.com/medals
No, the USA didn't come second - they came fourth.
Between the Netherlands and Canada.

Have to say, was quite impressed by the actual medals though, they looked pretty cool.

PMSL, the medals table is a joke! They also claimed they came top at the sliding centre (they had something like 6 medals), but none of the medals were gold. So top my arse! You finished below TeamGB TeamUSA and don't you bloody forget it
