The Olympics Thread
We don't seem to have one yet.
The NBC coverage gets on my tits. They cut the inclusion for all bit from the opening speech so as to not offend Russia. Their commentary this morning on the skating was just awful. Lots of gossip about their relationship rather than anything about the dancing for one couple.

Hardly surprising. All US coverage of sport is extremely piss poor!
Just catching up on the news from back home via the BBC..... "And Great Britain has missed out on a medal on the first day of the Winter Olympics from Sochi". No shit!!! And in other news, the sky is blue

The online coverage from CBC in Canada is really good. Dare I say, better than the BBC.

I wonder if you can get the Canadian coverage here? Other than VPN I mean. I could VPN for BBC, but it's just not as convienient.

Mini Weeze is very concerned that the female ice dancers will catch a chill

NBC online app is at least half decent for sports coverage....but it's very US centric, as expected, but I'm only really interested in the Jamaican bobsled team thingy.
I really couldn't give a toss about most of the events. Kidlette does want to watch the figure skating but it's on at a naff time live and the replays are a bit meh.

The snowboard girls are all very attractive which adds to the great coverage

Great coverage from BBC online and on the red button. Really looking forward to the ski-jumping later today. It would be fantastic if Simon Ammann could grab an historic fifth Olympic title in what is certain to be his final games.

Not watching live, doing highlights. After two days of NBC on free to air,, I am switching to BBC torrent. Better coverage and we will be able to watch earlier.

Curling.
I just can't get excited about sliding flat things down ice and sweeping really fast.
Next thing you know this will be an Olympic sport too. In fact, it might be quite fun.
