Mr PF is a miserable old git when it comes to Valentines...
I should've seen it coming the first year we started going out when his mate told him he really ought to buy me some perfume or something.....
If I'm lucky, I'll get a card he bought in the garage on the way home and scribbled "guess who xx" on the bottom. Last year he was put under a load of pressure from the kids because we'd recently moved to the land of Valentine madness aka USA. So I got flowers, a card and dinner - at a Thai restaurant that had given out "buy one get one free" meal vouchers and it was bring your own bottle. Food was awful and the place was empty. The kids groaned "oh daaaad! " and laughed til they cried....
This year I've bought the kids cards and told them we're going to do loads of silly funny valentines stuff all day. Hubby is looking relieved and let off the hook...
Is it just Englishmen? My french pals used to go out and buy super sexy underwear ready for valentines...

We're going to be cooped up in the car with two warring teenage males as we drive from PA to the Florida Keys. At least at the far end we can put them in separate tents, hopefully at opposite ends of the campsite

We don't normally do much. I normally try and cook something special for the wife.

I'm pissed off because its OH's birthday and most years it doesn't bother me but this is a big birthday for him and we can't even get a table at a good restaurant ( I am forcing the outing, he wants to stay home). He wants to celebrate when we move back .... Low maintenance man

Don't know if this is a VD rant or a FB rant.
Someone has just posted "shopping for valentine's gifts, not for my valentine, but for J & F's girlfriends". I don't remember how old her sons are, but they're younger than my 12 year old daughter.

I had an email from littlest's school asking for parental valentine's gifts for the teachers!!
Teacher recognition day apparently..... I tell you, I haven't lived here long enough to read stuff like that without laughing my head off!
