The roll rate of the jag is fast and the controls are hydraulically assisted so you literally think how much you want to move the stick...and it moves by exactly that much. 90 degree banks are easy as is inverted flight ;) Just pure power behind you in an almost quiet cockpit save for the airflow noise.

I never signed up on the dotted line so to speak but did serve 7.5 years as a photographer in the MoD, which is how I managed to land the job based at Boscombe Down for 2 years. Here's the proof. Yours truly in front of XX145 in 1996 just before I left for the USA.

I'm even more jealous now

I quite like the C208, I have to say - and I get to fly one of those in flight sim as well, when I'm not in the jets :)

Nice one. I grew up with, and went to school with the Pilot in this Footage of the Tornado F3 Display Team, from 2001/2002.

Si went on the Fly With The Red Arrows as Red 3 and Red 7, for 3 years before going back to British Airways, flying 767s. If you see one, with Red White & Blue smoke coming out of it......you will know who it is.

I'll be in Charleston, SC. for 2 nights starting Friday Night.

Seeing the Red Arrows was definitely the highlight for the day for me when I went to RIAT in 2009. Some of my photos are here, if anyone is interested.

Have you been to the Air and Water show here? Always a good day out!

This is/was my favorite spot around the back of ORD, I'd take the little one for her naps in the car, (two hours plus sometimes) Always with a camera in tow.

Helps if you like trains also

Sorry Scouse, I only just got back from Newark yesterday.

Talking of airshow pics and videos, here's one I did from last year at the Shawfest show in SC...

I took this one, yesterday. It's a US-Military Spec Boeing 737, arriving at Hunter Armry Air Base, at Savannah, GA.

In Nashville, TN, headed back to Aurora, IL, and then back to Louisville, KY......UPS Photos.

Plan on it this year! It goes over three days! The Practice day which is highly unpredictable and the two main days, what I'd really like to do is go down to 'Stink-hole' (Gary Indiana) because that's where all the planes base out of for the weekend.

Here's a few pictures from the show, including one of my all time pesonal favorite pictures.

Good pictures. I like the one of the parachutist, that came out well.

Not sure how the baby would handle spending the day in the city just yet, maybe we'll wait until she's a bit older but if there's any way we can make it this year we will.

I'd love to get up to Oshkosh one summer too. We've been through there a bunch of times but I've never seen the air show yet.

Great shots. I really love that American Airlines 738 - it looks so good with the bare metal finish and the winglets.

Ok guys, a few aerial shots straight off the camera from this week in NC. Not an airplane in sight except on the ground. The town is New Bern and the overhead airport shot is Raleigh (RDU) from 6000ft. A nice week to fly.

Cool.

Now I have a new airport to try out in flight sim :)

I'm surprised you haven't all been arrested for terrorism offences.

MrEmjoy, that last shot is sublime. Nice job.
