Morphsuits

Just read an article about Brits on vacation in Croatia (there's a link in a separate thread). Apparently, Brits like to wear something called a morphsuit whilst on vacation (or maybe they wear them at home too).

I had never heard of a morphsuit. Has anyone ever heard of this or seen anyone actually wearing such a thing? They really are the darndest things I have ever seen.

Good grief - can you imagine your average, introverted Brit, wearing something like that? What utter tosh.

The problem is when your average, introverted Brit has consumed several gallons of booze, then, apparently, he or she enjoys wearing a morphsuit.

Interesting. I'm an average, introverted Brit and I've consumed a fair few gallons of booze in my time and I have to say it would never once have occurred to me to don one of those things

No, I think the correct term for the kind of person that would wear that is, ****tard.

Children are exempt because they are children and dressing up is acceptable for them to do. Your 8 year old is not a ****tard, rest assured :)

Fully grown adults should know better, of course ...

Re: Morphsuits

I first saw these on "Green Man" in the 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' show. Seen a few folks wearing them at sporting events.

I guess they took off!

Did you like that show? I thought it was dreadful and it's not even filmed in Philadelphia!

Didn't watch it very much, but do remember laughing a few times at what I did see. It's silly funny, which is good sometimes.

IASIP is one of the most underrated shows on TV IMO.

Re: Morphsuits

There's a very simple explanation for this... Brits in Croatia (or any part of Europe) are, in a ridculously high proportion, on a stag. On a stag, people wear these stupid suits along with superman suits and other such dressing up paraphenalia.

Clearly, the Croation view of the brits, is based on stag parties.

A bunch of drunk arseholes in Croatia wearing full-body condoms, from what I can tell.

Merely the evolution of the Briton abroad - I suppose it's marginally better than the drunken, sunburned twats that used to roam the Costa del Sol.

I've never been to Spain, or Croatia so I can't make a comparison. I'd never been abroad until I met my soon-to-be wife for the first time.

With Pat Keysell making rude hand gestures.

Don't remember him. I remember the caretaker that kept falling over and making a mess. Mr Bennett, was it? Not sure.

Pat Keysell was a woman, who signed for the deaf, on "Vision On", when I was a kid. Tony Hart did what he always did.

Apparently so. When I was growing up it was HartBeat, with it's wonderfully 80s theme music

On a more practical note it sure looks like you'd sweat your a$$ off in one of those, and camel toes would be the order of the day....

What I want to know is what knobs who wear this would morph into?
