I don't know much about US Income Tax rules, but I've spent enough time in offshore tax-havens to know that there are legal ways to avoid getting caught in the net. I would be very surprised - for instance - to learn that Harry actually owns more than a token amount of the money and other assets he has access to. Meghan isn't the first US citizen ever to marry a UK aristocrat; there will be plenty of experienced tax-lawyers in New York and London who could ease any fears the happy couple might have!
