Default Meds to the UK

My wife is going to be in the UK for a good few months we've just learned.

Her mother passed away suddenly, and now that the funeral its is done, she's got a lot to do to make sure her dad is able to move in to an appropriate assisted living place. There's the added complication of her brother having half-inched a sizable amount of the parents' liquid assets - a matter for the Fuzz if they ever decide to do anything about it.

Anyway, how might I get her regular prescription meds sent to her all above board/legit? She's just told me she's about to run out in a week or so...

I've just discovered that one of them became a Class C controlled substance as of April this year, so there's a limit of 30 days supply to be got from any one prescription etc etc...

Any ideas, or does it make sense for her to get registered at her dad's surgery and get sorted out from there - she's a UK citizen etc etc.

Cheers for any steers etc

Harry

It sounds to me like she has "moved back" She should register locally and get her pharmaceuticals there.

I certainly wouldn't get into the issues of either collecting someone else's prescription when they aren't in the US or mailing said pharmaceuticals internationally.

That makes perfect sound logical sense.

which class c medication is she on? When my son moved to Edinburgh, it took about 2-3 months before he got a particular med as he needed to be referred to a psychiatrist by his GP and the waiting list was long. In the US, he got his medication from a regular doctor. Now he will have the opposite issue as he will be moving back to the States in September and they will only prescribe a 28 days worth. Also the drug is not available in the US so he will have to change meds again. As he will not have a job, he will need to pay out of pocket
