"A Florida prosecutor yesterday filed a misdemeanor criminal count against the 20-year-old man arrested last month for allegedly engaging in sexual conduct with a pair of “large stuffed animal toys” at a Target store."

“Mercader eventually told deputies that she had intended to toss a bucket of water on the landlord, whose name was redacted from the arrest report, but she got confused and threw the bucket of feces at her.”
If they had a bucket registry in FL, and limited bucket purchases to one per household? Or is there a constitutional amendment I’m forgetting about??

Re: Meanwhile in Florida
Perhaps not Florida related specfically, but I should imagine that this is the general concensus down there too.
My boss asks me yesterday what my thoughts are on the 2A. I told her that I was a gun owner, but that the 2A was clearly an outmoded concept and that the constitution wasn't a suicide pact.
Was she prepared to accept the death of children, even possibly her own, for the 'right to keep and bare arms'
Yes was her answer.

"A Tampa woman was arrested for allegedly making a homemade bomb at a Walmart. "
This is a weird story, but I think it is as weird that a local sheriff was quoted as saying "[she] might have tried to detonate the explosive inside the Walmart."
What was the bomb made from? .... It was a pickling jar filled with methylated spirits and nails, and somehow a candle was attached.
In what sense was this a "bomb"? How might you "detonate" a jar of methylated spirts? At a pinch I could see that she had created a sort of molotov cocktail, but if she lit the candle and threw the jar, I am reasonably certain that the candle would go out before the jar hit the ground, and so wouldn't start a fire. It would just splash everything with methylated spirits and pieces of glass, which while messy and could cause someone to get cut, but that hardly amounts to "causing mass destruction".
And what did she think the nails were going to do?

Agree, a poor effort.
Much better would have been to go to the pool department and use one of the 34 lb containers of chlorine tablets to use as a agent of terror.

Re: Meanwhile in Florida
Well if she'd taken a gallon of white vinegar from the grocery section and poured it into a container of chlorine tablets, that would certainly have done the trick!
