It looks like some countries do allow travel with a green card instead of a visa, but the UK is not one of them:

did you read them?
“Can Everyone Travel to Canada With a Green Card?Yes, everyone (regardless of nationality) who has a US Green Card can travel to Canada without having to apply for a Canadian visa. If you are travelling by air or transiting in Canada, you will have to get an eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization) before travelling, but if you’re crossing the border by land, you only need your passport and Green Card.”

Did you read the last paragraph of the section “Can All Green Card Holders Travel Abroad Without a Visa”?

You can only travel internationally with your Green Card if you are travelling to a country that has extended the same rights to US Green Card holders as to American citizens. In other words, if you look at the visa policy of a country, and it claims that US citizens and permanent residents (Green Card holders) are visa-exempt.”yes… and it’s only a very small list of countries…
but it is not 0 countries.. some do extend visa free travel to GC holders regardless of underlying citizenship according to that link, and a look at the Canadian gov site seems to back it up:
https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpce...um=1053&top=16
So I guess the OP can take his tourist $ some where else now and the UK loses out….

"Permanent residents (landed immigrants) of Canada must have a nonimmigrant visa unless the permanent resident is a national of a country that participates in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), meets the VWP requirements, and is seeking to enter the United States for 90 days or less under that program." https://travel.state.gov/content/tra...that%20program.

Of course, most of these are very physically close to the US and therefore benefit the most from allowing visa free travel from US permanent residents (i.e. Green Card holders). The US itself for example does not extend the same courtesy to Candian PRs:
"Permanent residents (landed immigrants) of Canada must have a nonimmigrant visa unless the permanent resident is a national of a country that participates in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), meets the VWP requirements, and is seeking to enter the United States for 90 days or less under that program." https://travel.state.gov/content/tra...that%20program.

And it won’t help the OP with the UK, even if they are Indian.

If the OP wants visa free travel maybe he needs to head to Japan to live...?
