When I was growing up, in the mighty 'Pool, we had all sorts of colourful expressions to describe our "Portly Pals".......none of which were politically correct.

I have yet to meet a Politically Correct Scouser, yet. The person who came up with this idea, was probably an implant from somewhere else.

You can change the words all you want, the facts remain the same. Until someone realizes this, they'll keep changing the words. The exact same thing happens in other areas as well when a word becomes "stigmatized". Then, eventually, when people realize that the new word means the same as the old word, they change the word again.

It's really, really ridiculous.

In general the population is getting fatter. No exercise, stuffing junk food into their gobs morning, noon and night and watching TV to their ears bleed or playing video games. These fatties are just the vanguard of the overweight revolution and no amount of name changes will alter that or if it gets close they'll invent a medical condition to lay the blame elsewhere.

The future is lardiness, 14XL t-shirts, 60" waist trousers, huffing, puffing and excessive perspiration. Finely honed and chiselled specimens like me are under threat like never before.

It is a shame that they do not spend as much effort on actually dealing with the issue.

I wouldn't bother. Fatties are a great source of comedic inspiration and where would we be without the lovable fat-guy stooge? The world would be a poorer place without Stan and Ollie, Bud and Lou and Bernard Manning.
