Default A little bit of trivia.

This question is for those folk with a wee bit of time to spare.
Apologies if it turns out to be old hat.
Here goes,

A small group of people are travelling on the Paris metro line 3 to it's eastern terminus at Gallieni station to catch a Trans-European coach from the Euroline bus station situated adjacent.

Unfortunately there is a terrible accident, the train fails to stop and ploughs
into the buffers, killing every single person on board.

And yet there are three survivors.
How can this be?

OK.
Half a dozen bottles of home made Rose Petal wine for the first person with the correct answer.
To be collected of course.

The survivors were a couple and one part of a couple - the other having been killed.

Taking the word 'single' literally.

I think it would be a fair whack to send them to you as I live 12 miles south of
Brum, West Mids, UK.

If you ever visit England I can have the wine sent to where you are.

BTW, that poser remained unanswered in my local snooker club for some time,
and I managed to win a few pints of lager for the correct explanation.

Hey Bluenose,

Am arriving in the UK in September of next year - going to the Cotswolds, so keep that wine in the cooler for me

Will do SG,
My nephew lives in the Cotswolds so I will make sure you have 6 bottles of
country wine.
BTW, what sort do you prefer, sweet or dry?
