just flown Austin-LHR with them for the first time in a couple of years. Economy was the worst level of service/food/toilets I've experienced on a long haul flight ever. 4 toilets for the whole of economy meant that there was always a queue. Only 2 staff dishing out awful food ( chicken curry had 5 tiny pieces of chicken). No wine/soft drinks offered with food, no coffee refills offered. Breakfast was dried up tiny croissant with processed cheese and some sort of jam inside - inedible - and a fig breakfast bar. I asked they had any snacks for my hungry teen since meal was tiny and was told no- they didn't have enough for the whole plane. I've kept a BA visa card to get the "free flight" and companion flight but it still cost over $1k for 2 with taxes and fees. However, during winter there is no alternative to a non-stop flight USA-UK, so I guess that explains the lack of interest in providing anything like a good customer experience. I flew economy United SFO-Taipei a few months back. It was great and cheaper. |
