Is the cheek kept at 15 degrees in a room in Paris?

Metric, Imperial, or US Customary cheek?

There is no Imperial measure for cheeks of tobacco! Please!

Metric was all the Frenchies idea, so there is no metric unit.

No, 80°F, kept in a trailer on Bubba's Ferry Rd, in Dothan, AL.

If its an auto, please go and start your own thread rather than polluting my thread with such nonsense!

I thought I was the only one here who drove a manual. I seem to remember being told by people eventually I'll see the error of my ways and buy an auto. And it would be in either truck or SUV form LOL.
Volkswagens don't seem to have quite the same rep for reliability over here as back home I've noticed. Still wouldn't mind a GTI though.

DSG - flappy paddle manual for me. Same as I had in my TT and I loved that gearbox.

The now extinct Mazdaspeed6 was a manual too. Never bothered me. Test drove a Focus ST last night which only comes in manual, but the torque steer was a bitch.

Congrats on the GTI ! Great car.

The Focus ST was on my short list at one point.. Couldn't get one in the spec/timeframe I wanted. Sounds like that might have been a good thing after all.

Meanwhile, In Mini JCW land... A cold and frosty day dawns. A layer of ice covers the bodywork of the JCW.

The early morning peace is suddenly shattered by the unfamiliar sound of an engine starting, free of misfires.

Woo!

The interior of the ST was very high tech, and the handling of the car was overall very nice. The Recaro seats were hurting after 5 minutes, but I didn't mess around with adjusting them (though I did read that is a common complaint with the car). But the amount of torque steer was laughable, and then I read that it is meant to be electronically controlled.

Plus I got $2k for my holey engine (+ they will deal with towing) from a VW dealer while the two Ford dealers with the ST I would have wanted were struggling to offer me $1k. I had told them all the best chance they had of the sale was working with me on my existing car, and the VW dealer listened.
