Bought this beast last week. Just in time to haul my 5th wheel out of the path of Hurricane Ian.

Wow! Someone who bought a heavy duty truck because they actually need one, not just for tooling around town.

Looks nice, and I hope you're sucessful in taking your 5th wheel in the right direction to get away from Ian. .... Have you decided yet if you're heading east or west?

Right now, it looks like we may escape the worst of it but if needed, we will head north to Huntsville where our Daughter lives.

I've had a factory order in for over a year now. It was built in February but sat in Michigan since, waiting on shipping. We ran out of patience and found this 2020 model at Carmax.

We had a Sierra 2500HD 6.0l gas but it was not really up to the task of hauling a 14,000 fifth wheel. With this one, it should be a breeze.

I think we dodged a bullet there.
We're just East of you in Tallahassee. But it looks like we'll be safe. Not so sure about my Aunt, nieces in Tampa / Sarasota

Anyone into EV's?
Been driving a 2012 Chevy volt for about 18 months now.
Mainly just for commuting. Occasionally for running errands at the weekends. Good for 36-41 miles before it switches to gas.
Love it so much I purchased a 2nd! At a bargain price of $2000.
Poor owner was informed that it needed a $12,000 main drive battery by Chevy.
They decided to just store it in the garage and eventually just wanted rid of it.

2 hours of reprograming the onboard modules via Chevys update service and it's back up and running..

Criminal that they would not do this for the previous owner and insist on just replacing the battery.

Just have to decide which one to keep.

Yes, I have owned a few and a total EV convert now. I got rid of my BMW M850i and replaced it with a 2022 Tesla Model S Long Range which is amazing.

I'm not a professional, well not in car repairs.
The procedures are pretty straightforward, setting up the GM MDI2 diagnostic tool is the complicated part.
The genuine tool is $1400 or so, most shade tree mechanics use a knockoff device from Alibaba for $100 or so. GM doesn't care what you use.
Once set up you then create an account with Adecco and once in you register the VIN of your car with them for $45 for 48 months.

This allows you to update the firmware on all of the various vehicle systems and clear any locked fault codes associated with those modules.
