With these crazy gas prices, I'm loving my Volt even more.
30 mile commute, no gas used

GM recently replaced the battery from free, so should be good for a few miles of gas free driving.

In US-speak, a Merc is a Mercury, a former brand of Ford Motor Company.

I will look that up! The Benz, then, I tossed and turned about the investment. I still assume these cars lose value almost immediately, but the comfort was too important to me..

How is Southern Indiana working out for you? That is the area I consider home even though I left many years ago. I went to high school in Vevay and still have a lot of friends and family there. I go back a few times each year.

Hey there. It's pretty good! My only complaint really are the very cold winters. It's not where I want to be the rest of my life but as a racer it's the best place to be in America and my employer has been good to me.

Winters was my biggest complaint also. Just 300 miles south in southern TN where I now live makes a difference. It was in 70’s past two days with a few more in forecast.

Kia EV6 GT-Line AWD

My return-to-work car. After two years of working from home, and just borrowing my wife's car, I suddenly had to find a car at short notice. My favorite feature so far is the heads-up-display.

That's a pretty nice looking ride. The wheels are pretty much identical to my Civic. I wish my Civic had that heads up display though.

Yeah, I really like the heads-up display on my X5, and Mrs commented on it too, so we would definitely look for that on any future vehicles we buy. The only downside you may find is that the display may not be visible if you wear polarizing sunglasses. I found that the heads-up display isn't visible when I am wearing mine, unless I tip my head to one side. A friend has a Corvette with a heads-up display and found the same thing.

I am due for my annual eye exam in a few weeks and I will be using my insurance subsidy for glasses towarde getting a pair of non-polarizing sunglasses to use when I am driving the X5.

I don't like those, and have never worn then for any length of time. I use cocoons.

Don't like what?

I was just using "glasses" as a generic, like "car", or "shirt". I have never heard of "cocoons" but I would call them sunglasses too.

I was referring to transitions lenses, which is what I inferred you were talking about too.
