Dak, I did have a 1997 Ford 4.6l with their craptacular plastic intake water grenade issue and, it did. At 7 years old and 80k miles Ford only charged me parts, not perfect but not horrible either.

Even still overall a good engine though. I know a few folks who drove their 3800s till the body rotted (salt, a wonderful thing ) and like the 4.6 most of the defective engines have been repaired or failed by now.

For a proper engine we'd need a 300ci I6

Agreed on costcutting, for sure, but that isn't the sole domain of domestics anymore. My bro-in-laws 08 V6 Camry w/ 60k has had a coupla problems. My dads 09 LaCrosse has been pretty good, only a bad PS pump so far. The big deal I see with the LaCrosse is, the fit and finish is so much better than it used to be, I've never seen a domestic with such even panel gaps. Plus, adding an 'e' on the end of the name makes it Continental lol!

Hit him hard in the face, and hopefully he'll stop.

No one is going to steal it. I'm not sure that's a plus though.

Well, I suppose if you bought one, you probably don't want it to be stolen

Perhaps not. A car's a car though. One is reminded of Simon's yellow FIAT in the Inbetweeners

Maybe it would be ok once you are inside it (though I doubt it). Who wants to GIS the interior?

[Edit] There is a convertible version.

Yeah, I had to google HHR too, although any car that is compared to or shares any part of the PT Cruiser is the car of the devil and should be destroyed!!!!!

The HHR was designed by the designer of the PT Cruiser, but there are no shared parts.

The HHR was GM's attempt to attract buyers of the PT Cruiser, some time after consumers had already lost interest in the PT Cruiser. GM was a few days late, and several dollars short.

Just as bad. The designer of the PT Cruiser should never have been let near a design project again. Of all the cars I have driven, the PT Cruiser, was by far and away the worst thing I have ever had the misfortune to drive!
