Kelly Blue book website only goes back as far as 1992. Suggests you'd be lucky to get $1500 for a '92 Cutlass Ciera.

I think lazy journalist used this valuation tool on the hagerty website, not the same car.

Well I'll be.., they are worth far more than I thought. $3500 for 1 in "car show" condition.
Just need a value for a 1986 Cutlass Salon - ClassicOldsmobile.com

Below sellers asking even more

So having been in the US for almost 4 years now it was time I became a proper American and got a second car so the Mrs could get around.
After looking at pick-up trucks, 4Runners and deciding that a Subaru or Mazda was the sensible option I went to look at a Mazda at a Mini dealers and ended up taking a Mini for a test drive...

A few days later I now have one

I'm sure Minis are nice but it does vex me that they are so far removed from the original concept.

Me too, in a way. But it's just not possible any more.

I mean, it's still a 4 seater box, but with crumple zones, door beams, airbags etc., it's next to impossible to make it a "traditional" mini now.

That said, they are still great fun to drive.

I saw one that looked like your sporty Mini (I can't remember its proper name) on the way home from work the other day. First time seeing one in the flesh - nice little car. Doesn't look like I could fit in it but it was easy on the eye

Head (and leg) room is actually not bad at all, considering.

Would be nice to get one to have in the back of the truck.

How the hell anyone would have one of those ghastly Fiats over one of these just boggles my mind.

Me and my mate were both 6'2" and got into his original mini just fine so I'm sure these new ones are huge.

Not really. You DO have height, but the doors are 7 inches thick instead of 1 inch, the dash... well, it has one.

All that stuff adds up.

Mrs. N. has reasonable space in the back of hers as well, though legroom is a bit tight. Mine is a two seater, so no back seat to worry about.
