Fair point.

Interesting in a discussion about BL - one of your words went on 'strike'

"Interesting", and more or less inevitable, I think.

Saw a kubelwagen yesterday on the way to work. As popular as the Bug and the Jeep (Wrangler) are in the US it's surprising the Kubelwagen isn't more common.

I've now seen a Bentley Turbo R a couple of times on my morning commute. Registration "BLODY EL" seems appropriate. Might be the only two times it has moved under its own power in the last year but I still want one anyway.

Two Opel GTs also live in my neighbourhood for some reason, and now a house on the street has a Delorean on the driveway. Haven't seen any of these three move.

Many hours of nail biting negotiation later and there is a shiny new Scoobydoo Outback in the garage.

The 'Thing'? They rusted right quick. I always kinda liked them.

I've seen a TR8 so they must exist. A few years ago I stumbled across a Triumph dealer! Had a 'brand spanking new' 1980 TR7 convertible on the showroom floor.

I asked the salesman about it and in that suburb they only allowed new car dealers, so in order to keep his used car lot he needed to hold onto the 7 and the claim of his former dealership. Only had a couple hundred miles on it.

I wonder if it would start?

On electric cars, one advantage to using central powerplants is that it is easier to extract pollutants more thoroughly. My dad's a retired civil engineer who used to do coal power plant scrubbers, and he said the rule of thumb (albeit some years ago) was an additional 30% emissions reduction over small local power generation (in this case car engines). Engines are cleaner now, but so are large powerplants.

I like the idea of electric cars, unlimited theoretical torque, 4 motors in the hubs. 1 goes south you've still got 3 To me though the reality is somewhat lagging so in the meantime I'll keep burning dead dinosaur juice.

The real fix is room temperature superconductivity coupled with cold fusion lol.

I saw a Carrera GT the other day.

Pete
