Hmm, when I think of Bruce McLaren, I think of how he and Denny Hulme dominated the Can-Am series for years in the late '60's until Mark Donahue and the Penske Porsche 917 came along.

I remember reading about the 1967 Dutch Grand Prix which was the inaugural race of the Cosworth engine in the Lotus 49. Graham Hill took the pole but Jimmy Clark 1/2 a sec behind. Clark won leading start to finish. [The engine was like other F1 engines at the time and were unreliable. Only the Repco Brabham had any degree of reliability -- although way underpowered compared to other cars, it had the advantage of still running at the end of the race.].
