DB7's start under $40,000. Not exactly cheap, but not Ferrari-silly either.

Yeah... I hear Aston and my Top Gear head takes over. Easy to forget that they make cars that don't cost the earth.

Affordable Aston?

It would be silly! But love is blind and I doubt an E type is in budget. I know a guy who drives an older Range Rover. He can hardly keep it running, and he's a mechanic, but he loves the thing anyway.

You can get a 10-12 year old Maserati for $20,000-$25,000, or a similar one in the UK for less than £15,000.

So you're wondering if it will make it to Spearmint Rhino?

I had an XJS. You don't want one. Not even as a project.

The E-Type is probably my number one unobtainable (by me) car.

That wouldn't be a change, as he's not a fan of my Mustang or my F250 either.

Wonder why the engine looks so clean and yet the radiator looks like it came out of a ditch?
Cheers. Does seem strange they cleaned up the engine and not the radiator. A new rad is $239 from the place in Portland so it bears a good looking at.

Studebaker actually made some great cars back in the day. Design was way ahead of everyone else. Performance too.

If it is basically sound and you are approaching it as a bit of a project / hobby anyway, it is hard to go too far wrong. You could have a lovely weekend ride there.

If it was your daily drive and you had to work on it under a tree I would be a bit more concerned.

My favorite too. Dream killer I had a thought that I could rewire the whole XJS, after rebuilding the engine, transmission, alt and PS pump, front end, rear end, rear axle, suspension, brakes, body mounts, interior, dash, and new paint, with simultaneous divorce, alcoholism, job loss, drug addiction and suicide. See how simple lol

How about a Dodge M37 pickup? A real possibility is a 60s diesel Mercedes, I've debated buying a clean one for the SO for a few years, and as I read online once 'Who needs more than 55 horsepower?'

Studebaker overall is before my time, but I remember the first time I saw an Avanti. I loved it.
