Let's talk about cars

Re: Let's talk about cars
My two cents...
I wouldn't buy anything with the Chrysler name on it (Charger/Challenger) because they are so notably unreliable.
As for Chevy, are you a chav or a chav wannabe?
At least with a Fraud you know there's a dealer down the road from wherever you are and, unless you buy Shelby/Mach 1/Boss302, etc., servicing and parts won't break you!

Edmunds.com agrees that the primary advantage of stick is that they are fun to drive.

Think we'll probably go with the 'Stang via IA. Hubby would really like one - well, either that or a motorbike, and I've vetoed the latter!!

The Mustang will be fun.

I got mine from IA too. .... A GT, of course.
Mrs P picked ours up from the dealer, and the sales officer assigned to check the paperwork and hand over the keys asked Mrs P three times if she knew how to drive a stick. Perhaps this was because this was in the Westchester suburbs of NYC, where there are few domestic cars and fewer sticks, ..... but Mrs P got quite a laugh out of it because the sales officer was a woman!
FWIW Mrs P owned and drove an Accord stick-shift herself up to the point she got married and moved to the UK.

- independent rear suspension. For God's sake, finally.
- smaller car, better looks. Much less slavishly retro.
- available turbo 4 cyl with 300+ HP. Light and fast. You can still get the 420 hp Coyote V8, of course.
- an interior that does not appear at first glance to have been made from melted-down milk cartons, unlike the current car.

Haha - great, will pass that on to hubby. He's never even ridden a motorbike here! Think he just like the idea of getting through the Silicon Valley traffic. I'd rather he stayed alive!!

We will try both the V6 and the GT. Hubby's last car was a suped-up Subaru Imprezza, which roared, so he'd probably like the GT. Personally, I think 300bhp sounds more than sufficient!!
