Same here in southwest CT. We started the summer with near drought conditions, then it rained and rained and destroyed all my potted annuals. Now it’s back to being dry. No happy medium this year.

Just think, when it feels like Thursday, it will actually be Friday!

Good thinking! Also Wednesday is pay day and that's tomorrow seeing as tomorrow is not Tuesday as it seems it should be.

Did anyone but me understand that nonsense??

I did! For me, today is Tuesday but it's Wednesday and payday isn't for another two days but it's actually tomorrow and two days is Thursday but it's really Friday and I'll have a short weekend to relax and recuperate, finally!

I just corrected my original post. Eastern CT (the section far from NYC & environs) is still in dreadful drought.

Our lawn and my gardens were all looking great until July hit. Then despite a few short-lived downpours the weather got hotter and drier. I'm hoping for at least some rain this month, though the forecast is not looking helpful....

I hope you get the weather your garden needs - I wish we could have sent you some of our August rain!

Thanks for the thought, Lizzyq. Why can't some of those stormclouds passing by (sometimes within miles) all around us actually unload their H2O? I'm extremely tired of hand watering.

Our bedroom is in the basement and this year the dehumidifier seems to have been running almost constantly. How long though before we are complaining about how cold it is?
