Default Lazy Labor or Labour Day to everyone!

Hopefully everyone is enjoying a 3 day weekend.
Ours has been wet and wet and even more wet in the forecast. Our outside bbq has now been moved inside. And tropical storm Gordon will make for a very soggy week ahead. Fingers crossed the projected track does not change. Not ready for another storm to hit us!

Enjoy your festivities indoors. May Gordon decide not to join your party.

We aren't doing any special but moving furniture in preparation of new window installation on Wednesday and I'm loading up on pre-prepared meals as my daughter starts chemo on Tuesday.

Hope Gordon stays away. A hot day here, and I am having a lovely time (?) out in the garden pulling weeds! Oh dear, the sad truth is that I actually do enjoy weeding . . .

Is Gordon heading your way? I hope not, especially with the window installation!

All the best to your daughter Rete xx

So do I. It is therapeutic except when it is too hot and humid.
My garden was a disaster this year. We were still working inside the house when we usually work outside and then the Texas heat and humidity arrived when we were ready to work outside and I couldn't handle it. Hopefully we will have a "fall" this year and I can make some head way ( who am I kidding!!!)

Enjoy your laboring day!

Did you ever buy your new zeroturn mower? Once you learn how to drive one you will never go back to the tractor type.

Not yet. The hard headed other half "fixed" the John Deere yet again and apparently it is running better than it ever did!.......until the next time. It will happen, probably sooner than later and then we can all have fun outside.

Ours has been brilliant! Family arrived en masse Friday evening but has sadly now departed to (vain hope!) get ahead of the traffic returning to the city.... But we had an excellent time, and the weather (which previously had been boiling hot) stayed bearable for the three days.

Ours has been wet and wet and even more wet in the forecast. Our outside bbq has now been moved inside. And tropical storm Gordon will make for a very soggy week ahead. Fingers crossed the projected track does not change. Not ready for another storm to hit us!
Crossing my fingers for you, Sugarmooma!

Already 7 named hurricanes??? Wish there was some way we on the northeast USA coast could get some of that rain...WITHOUT the wild winds/flooding/thunder storms, of course!

My labor day has been spent sorting a flat tire and flat battery on the wife's car! Tacos and about 20 margarita's needed tonight at dinner for sure!

I'll take one margarita, please, to lighten your hangover in the morning. You can keep the Mexican food.

You're kidding, right? The NE has been suffering from a deluge of rain this summer. At least the MA, NY, CT and NJ portions of the NE have been.

And PA too, all my new lupin plants have died from over watering from the sky ☹️. I have barely touched the hosepipe this summer.

Actually southeastern MA, much of RI, and western parts of CT are in drought conditions. We had an exceptionally wet spring & early summer, but the rains have dried up in the last two months. We haven't had a drop of rain for over 2 weeks.
