Thumbs down Kids - Guns Etc

There is no way a child should be allowed anywhere near a Gun, until they reach the age of 21 (when they are considered mature enough to have a drink).

A 12 year-old Girl just killed herself, whilst loading a Hunting Gun and we all remember the Kid who shot the Instructor with an Uzi, at the Shooting Range.

This is just Nuts - Simple as that

Yeah, at 21 they'll be able to drink and hold a gun at the same time!

Maybe we should keep our children at home wrapped in cotton wool so they aren't at risk of being hit by a vehicle, or killed while a passenger in a vehicle? I suspect that children are at much greater risk from swimming pools than from loading black powder guns.

And your comparison of the fatal accident while loading a black powder gun with the girl who lost control while firing a machine pistol makes no sense. It would be like saying that because some one was killed racing an F1 car it was foreseeable that someone else was going to be killed when their tractor fell off a jack and crushed them. Not so much an apples and oranges comparison, more an apples and aardvarks comparison.

For the record, I'm against throwing children into oncoming traffic. Down with that sort of thing!

Does seem a bit counter-intuitive. Age limits for sex, alcohol and smoking but "fire at will!"

The whole gun thing out here is just completely mental, but it is what it is, and I moved here not the other way round, so if folks want to let their kids handle guns, good luck to em. Mine won't be.

Why not replace the bricks with a nice 50 Cal, then it could be recorded as a gun-related fatality?

50 calories? That's about half a banana. I doubt if it would hold them under unless it's a baby we're talking about.

How about throwing newborn babies, who can't swim, into the deep end of the swimming pool, with a half of a banana tied to each foot?

O Pulaski you missed the perfect opportunity to remind the OP that swimming pools are more dangerous than guns

Guns don't kill people. Bodies of water kill people.
