Hello there,
Happy Holidays everyone! Even though i am not a British citizen, (i lived in the UK for 5 years and am originally from Hungary) i hope you guys won't mind helping me to start the application process to get a green card.
I've married an American Citizen two weeks ago and we are applying without a hired help. Here is the list of the forms that i think are necessary to submit to USCIS:
I-130 Petition for Alien Relative
I-485 Application To Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status
I-765 Application for Employment Authorization
G-325A Biographic Information
I-864 Affidavit of Support
I-131 Application for Travel Document
I-693 Medical Examination Sheet
I have a valid F-1 visa and an EAD that expires on May 31st 2008. Before that i had a J-1, without the 2 year home residency requirement.
1. Is there any other form/s that i have to submit?
2. Are these forms to be sent at the same time?
3. Will i lose my current EAD once USCIS receives my application?
4. Do you have any recommendations what other documents to submit e.g marriage certificate etc.?
I would greatly appreciate any input. Thank YOU!
Mica

You got your medical done by a USCIS-approved physician, right? You must send the *sealed* envelope with your application.
Forms, no... documents, yes.
Yes... all to the Chicago lockbox.
No... your EAD is valid until it expires.
Each form requires its own supporting documents and each form will tell you what supporting documents you need to send. You *must* be absolutely meticulous about this. If two forms ask for the same evidence, send a copy with each form. Treat each application form as a separate bundle and keep each bundle together. You may find yourself photocopying multiple documents for multiple applications... this is perfectly normal. Whatever else you do, be sure to keep copies of everything you send.
Oh... and don't forget the filing fees!
