Beadle's About was genius. None of this jumping out with all t his noise saying you've been got or whatnot. Just calmly walking up in disguise and holding out a microphone for what seemed like ages. Genius. He always seemed like he would be a really nice guy in real life as well.

aye, a couple threads on the guy, raised a lot of money for charity, around £100M or so. RIP.

and how ironic - he spent a lot of his time over the years raising funds for kids with leukemia only to get a form of it himself in 2005. Life sux sometimes.
