Wouldn't feel terribly republican, would it?

Jeb would be a break from the Ivy League. [BTW, the entire Supreme Court attended either Yale Law or Harvard Law.]

Having a dynastic family, such as the Bush's, is more akin to a Royal Family - I thought the 'merkins ditched the Crown?

I have only been eligible to vote since GW first election, so there has not been anyone running for president whom I liked or voted for, but won't Hillary be pretty close to the age John Mccain was when he ran against Obama, and all the democrats said he was too old?

That said, Hilary is no Ronald Reagan, that's for sure. She's Lady MacBeth personified.

There is a great divide between those who have the money to run and those who have the intelligence to do the job (notably those intelligent enough to do the job tend to be intelligent enough not to want it!).
I heard on npr the other day that freshman congressman get given the plum committee jobs so they can rake in all the lobby money for their re-election campaign.
In the end it has little to do with ability to do the job or performance in the job. Just money.

I'd like to see someone unknown for the most part come out of the woods and be able to run and win, but that will never happen.
As a voter, I am more concerned about my congress person and senator then president.

I know he was, but in 2008 the democrats made a huge issue of McCain being too old, and since Hillary will be roughly the same age, they should obviously believe the same.

Jeb was Governor when I arrived in FL, and compared to GW as President, and Crist and the current bloke as Governor, Jeb rocked!
I'm not a Republican, but I might be inclined to vote for Jeb over Hilary for my first attempt, if those are the choices.
