Re: I've always wanted to visit Wyoming
Last summer, my wife and I drove out from Michigan to Montana to see her family at Hungry Horse in the west of the state. Day One we drove around 700 miles to the Minnesota / South Dakota border. This was all states we'd already visited so we just powered through. South Dakota took us through the Badlands (AVOID WALL DRUG) which is simply amazing landscapes and we stopped for the night just outside Mt Rushmore which we saw on the morning of Day Three along with Devil's Tower -- all reports are true, it's one of those monumental moments of your life to see ... like when you see the Mississippi or Niagara Falls for the first time ... it's such an iconic sight, and Bighorn. Day Four was Yellowstone then into Idaho briefly and up to Hungry Horse. On the way back, we stopped at the North Dakota Badlands (not as impressive but still pretty cool) and some Lewis & Clark stop points. Then it was Fargo, International Falls, a walk into Canada, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for the first time. All in all it was a 12 day trip, around 400 miles a day, and I can honestly say that it was one of the best vacations of my life. So go. Drive. Take your time. It's an incredible part of the country.

Driven across Wyoming many times, it is so boring to drive through LOL.
Once I was team driving with another English driver on I-80 we had a twin screen DVD player and watched Formula 51 with one screen on the passenger side dashboard and the other taped to the steering wheel, the road was completely flat and straight for 2 hours LOL.
