It's that time of year again..!!

My parents arrive today for a 3 week visit ( I've been trying for years to get them to come for 2, they usually come for 4 so this is the compromise) I've been up sonce 5:00am dusting things that don't need to be dusted, as despite my mum's cries of..you didn't need to go to all this trouble, it's only us..I know that if I don't go to all this trouble I'll be in trouble!!
So I'm trying to think positive thoughts and I know I should feel really lucky that I still have 2 parents and that they're willing to travel all this way to see us and they won't be around forever...I'll keep you posted on how it goes this time...hoping to last a least a few days before they start driving me up the wall :fingerscrossed:

Ditto - best of British!

At least you'll be able to rant here if you need to (just don't get your Mum & Dad signed up!)

I'm sure you'll have lots of fun

Good luck :) You'll just have to lock yourself away in your room with your laptop and the goodies they bring for a few hours each day.

Hope the visit goes well, just keep telling yourself that "they will be going home"! I am going to be having the Inlaws here just after Christmas, they are only here for 5 days, so I'm hoping to keep my 'cool' for that long:D

Yes, you are lucky to still have both your parents still around, I wish I had mine, I do understand that I would probably feel just the same as you though, if they were, if it gets too much for you, go for a walk or get in the shower and 'scream'

Remember wine is your friend - my in-laws have just announced that they are coming from 1st - 29th June next year - I get a strange twitch in my left eye every time I think about it but plan to be at least partially inebriated 98% of the time. Good Luck !

Plenty of warning, you could have moved twice by then, they will never find you!

Best of luck Lisa! Hope the visit goes well - Keep Calm and Carry on :D

After our summer of constant visitors from June until the end of August we have put a ban on visitors next year. My sanity is on the edge as it is
