With retirement we have also not discussed the numerous ways to keep the government of the money... 401(K), IRA, TSP, etc... I assume you will be reporting your LTC buys/sells for CGT.

With todays ruling that investment advisors can fleece you for what you have. Where is a good place to get unbiased advice, preferably from an advisor with a fiduciary obligation?

Did you get 'profiled' yet? Most banks and IFA's will do this as a matter of course. If they don't, then give them a wide berth.
Knowing your profile and understanding it will help you decide where to next.
This from a European view, obviously. It may well be different in La-la land.
