If you are a UK citizen, you are entitled to most of the help given to long-term residents (I say "most" because there are exceptions, such as paying overseas student fees - although there are loopholes around that one that have been posted on here recently).

Unlike the US, the UK looks at its citizens as all being deserving of health care, income support, etc., regardless of whether you just got off the boat.

I'm sure others will be on here with specific advice and questions, but for now I'd say (a) take a look via the Search function for threads on similar topics, and (b) tell us a little more about your personal situation - are your parents still in the US? Do you have extended family in the UK who can help? This kind of information might help us to help you.

You'll also maybe get posts asking you how could you be so dumb as to spend 5 years in the US ****** [hopefully you'll see why I blanked this, and also this part of your own post], and also why would you post such information on a public forum ... you'll just have to expect this and deal with it when it happens.

Being booted back to the UK may not seem like a big deal right now but a deportation order on your record won't help if you ever try to get back to the US - even for a holiday. Just trying to give some helpful advice.

So ... in answer to my questions, your family is still in the US? What status do your parents have? (USC, GC?) It's hard to give you any specific advice without knowing your situation.

Using a full-stop now and again would help us to understand what you are saying also ...

they are now legal residents of the us USC. And I am sorry I know it now nice been booted back to the uk was a joke to lighten my problem. to be honest I think my X boss was just messing with me of false hope I guess it my fault I should have asked to see paper work more instead of thinking he was doing something. My question to you and any one is I know I can go back I know how but if i go there and walk in to a council office will they give me a home to live for a few days or do i have to rent a room until i can set up on my own...

PS I am sorry I am not making seance I dont under stand it too much my self
and any help you given so far I takeing and TY very very much

Probably you should find a good immigration attorney, http://www.aila.com or ask on the U.S. Immigration section of the forum, to review your case and see if there are any options.

Was your adjustment of status application formally refused?

Do be aware that if you leave the U.S. following an overstay of 1 year, you have a 10 year ban on re-entry. Ultimately there might be no way to avoid this, but you should ensure that you have looked at all the options before you leave.
