Ohio is a big State though, Cincinnati is okay.

Anyway, if I could pick anywhere to live, that's where I would live - anywhere. I'd flit about on my Gulfstream between my mansions.

I quite fancy St. Croix, but I don't think I could hack living there all the time, too cut off. Plus there's a hurricane once in awhile.

and me, i loved Ohio and would still be there if DH didnt get a job in Texas.

But I am liking life here in Texas too.

I also heard so many nice things about Colorado.

so id find it hard to chose a dream destination.

I thought the final conclusion was that it "might be, just a little bit"?

All round just about perfect!
Where in Dixie?

My USC wife says just the same, apparently she spent her childhood horse-riding on the ranches which now form the bulk of the huge development in Sarasota, all thanks to the influx of incomers

oops ... shoulda known better

sorry if I offended on the Ohio thing, I guess I'll keep my opinion to myself anymore }:\

Have to say though, not everyone likes what everyone else does, friend of ours was bought (forcibly) back from Arizona for non payment of child support and he hates my paradise with avengance. Never anything good to say about the place and can't wait to get paid up so he can go back to the desert.

No don't! Nobody else here seems to. Many posters here who've lived in more than one US state (and there are lots!) appear to heartily dislike at least one (or more) and clearly favour one.

We have a relative who's recently moved to Colorado. He's a former passionate New Englander but seems totally won over to the new lifestyle and climate out west. Sometimes it's what you're used to you love best; other times it's something completely different that appeals much more ....

Well then...
One poster mentioned Cincinnati as his/her favorite.
What a bland city with hardly anything going on and nothing going for it. I've been there several times and each time was utterly bored and utterly unimpressed.

I said it was okay, I didn't say I wanted to live there, I was just disagreeing with the idea that Ohio is generally awful.
