I need to wash my mouth out with soap!!!

I did it, I said a typical Texan word

Y'all :curse: - lol

Needless to say when I said it I followed it up with a strong british accent that nobody understood

Here in Maryland, they say "you all" rather than "y'all" and I find myself saying that quite a bit...

When grew up in Toledo I was scolded for picking up local expressions as my parents were from California. I was not allowed to say 'melk' when meaning 'milk' or 'ruf' for 'roof'. While they let 'you guys' slide, 'youse guys' was an absolute no no.

I remember my parents saying when I was a child "You sound like you're from Toledo" while I replied "Well I am!"
