Re: I have arrived
Congratulations on the green card and the arrival. Have you stopped by the SS office and inquired about your social security number/card? If not, suggest you do so.

My trip from Jersey, Channel Islands to Atlanta
Left Jersey - carry on all taken out and checked... Circled Gatwick for 40 minutes.... FOGBOUND... had to refuel in Bournemouth... Arrived in Gatwick 2½ hours late... carryon checked..... went straight to departure gate... NO TIME TO SHOP... Some American teenagers breached security by opening an emergency exit door in the departure lounge... carry on and shoes checked again and frisked. Arrived Atlanta 1 hour late. Went thru Passport control and was told to collect luggage and then go to desk 3.... index finger print taken and signature on form... no questions asked and NO WELCOME TO AMERICA... had to recheck in luggage from International to Domestic.... carry on checked again, BRITISH AIRWAYS STAFF HAD GONE HOME BY THEN... luggage was stuck under the airport.... good thing was they delivered it the next day.
About a week later I got 3 Welcome to America Letters lol.
