no online renewal for a USC in your state? Think we only have to go in person every 10 years in CT.. now registering my boat was a different story…

I believe in CT you have to renew in person on alternate renewals, in order to have a new photo taken (you can’t upload your own).

Same in NC.

I've been to the NC DMV twice in the past month, once to register a boat and two trailers - I failed because my in-laws gifted them to Mrs P alone, and I didn't have a POA. The other time was to get a temporary tag, for reasons I don't fully understand (it already has a tag) for our old Accord, so it can be inspected (NC MOT). On both occasions I was in and out in about 5 minutes.

Same in Florida. I went in last year. Booked on line during covid. Appointment was next day and i was in and out in 30 mins

Well what a surprise, took 23 minutes start for finish for a new enhanced ID driving license. Being an enhanced ID I had to go in person.

ID to fly domestic and in some states (NY?) travel to Canada… I thought enhanced and RealID were the same but they are not… the later is the Gold Star ⭐️ they print on it, you can get that as an LPR as well…

the DMV is probably the best side effect of CV19… they kept appointments at our local, which turned a simple visit in to a predicable one. In and out in 20-30 min vs. hours waiting… that said things like registering a boat as mentioned by Pulaski still is an art rather than a science… took me 2 visits to get one done…

No it goes with my Advanced Class 1 pursuit and protection authorized driving certificate.

Oregon did call them enhanced driving licenses but they are now called Real ID. Mind you the way the cut off date keeps getting moved not sure they will ever be necessary.

Not to be confused with REAL ID. Enhanced Drivers Licenses are available in Washington, Vermont, New York, Michigan and Minnesota. All five states are on Northern Border. The enhanced Drivers Licenses act as Border Crossing Cards in lieu of US Passports at land borders.
